Assistant Professor of Neurology

Dr. Rubin is a critical care neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. As a faculty member of the Center for Neurotechnology and Neurorecovery, he conducts research focused on the application of computational neuroscientific principals to the restoration of communication, mobility, and functional impendence for people with paralysis. He is one of the principal investigators on the BrainGate consortium, which runs the world’s largest and longest running clinical trial of an implanted brain computer interface, and is a founding co-director of the Mass General Brigham Brain Computer Interface Clinic.
Dr. Rubin received his B.S. from Cornell University and his M.D./Ph.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and neurology residency and neurocritical care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
