My name is Vijay Nitturi. I am a student at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, aspiring to be a neurosurgeon. I grew up in Houston, TX, and attended the University of Houston, where I studied Biochemistry and Medical Humanities. I completed a research year with Dr. Akash Patel studying the mechanisms of tumorigenesis in TRAF7-mutated meningiomas. My primary research interests include studying the molecular pathways underlying recurrence in meningioma and using artificial intelligence to create readily applicable clinical tools. My interests include skull base, spine, and vascular neurosurgery.
