Marcelle Altshuler, MD is a neurosurgery resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital and a surgical education and simulation research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her work focuses on competency-based training, technical skill assesssment, and AI-driven approaches to evaluating surgical performance. Dr. Altshuler is a recipient of the CESERT Gold Award and Slavin Education Research Scholars Grants, with ongoing research in milestone evaluation, curriculum development, and machine learning applications in surgical education. She is active in teaching at Harvard Medical School and serves on several educational committees within the Harvard and Massachusetts medical communities.
