Youssef E. Sibih, BA, is a fourth year medical student at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. He earned a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Youssef is currently working in the Hervey-Jumper glioma neuroplasticity lab. He is especially interested in using electrophysiological methods to study the interplay between glioma-related neural alterations in cortical excitation and inhibition and their impact on cognitive function. He is also passionate about addressing health disparities in neurosurgical oncology care, with a focus on understanding how socioeconomic factors influence access to treatment and outcomes in patients with gliomas.
