Emilio García Gómez was born in Córdoba, Veracruz, Mexico, and was raised by his mother and grandparents. From an early age, he showed a great interest in various areas of life, which led him to develop a deep passion for art, particularly painting and music. Over the years, he has cultivated a love for oil painting on canvas, and music has been another of his great passions, excelling in instruments such as guitar and piano.
As he grew older, Emilio discovered his affinity for combat sports, beginning to practice boxing five years ago. His love for sports in general is evident, as he actively follows a variety of sports and stays up-to-date with the latest sports news.
Medicine is another cornerstone of Emilio’s life. His passion for this field led him to study at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), where he completed his medical degree. During his training, he did his internship at Hospital Ángeles in San Luis Potosí and his social service at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (INNN) in Mexico City. Throughout his academic career, he has been a distinguished student, particularly in the field of neurosciences.
Emilio has earned several notable recognitions throughout his career. He was a national champion in Neurosciences by the Society for Neuroscience and a national runner-up in Neuroanatomy by the Mexican Association of Anatomy. These achievements are just a glimpse of his dedication and passion for medicine and scientific research. In recent years, he has developed a strong interest in neuroscientific research, leading him to present posters at national and international conferences such as the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) Congress, the Society for Neuroscience Congress, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Additionally, he has worked on several research projects and published scientific articles in renowned journals such as BMJ, World Neurosurgery, and Acta Neurochirurgica, contributing to the advancement of science and medicine.
Currently, at 25 years old, Emilio continues to develop as a physician, researcher, and neurosciences enthusiast, with a firm belief in continuously learning, exploring new frontiers in medicine, and contributing to the well-being of humanity.
