Naya A. Melvani is a research assistant at Barrow Neurological Institute and a student at Brown University with a deep passion for neurosurgery, clinical research, and healthcare equity. Her research at Barrow focuses on neurosurgical education, aiming to democratize access to high-quality training resources and improve the accessibility of multimedia learning for future neurosurgeons. In addition, she has contributed to projects at the Warren Alpert Medical School investigating transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) techniques, predictors of postoperative complications, and stretch-related neuropraxia in spine surgery. Through her work, she hopes to advance both surgical innovation and equitable patient outcomes.
