My name is Nikhil Dholaria and I am a third year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2022 with a BS in Health Policy and a BA in Biochemistry. My interest in neurosurgery stemmed from personally seeing neurological illness in my family and my desire to pursue a career which I believe to be leading in academia and research. Despite this, writing poetry and spending time with a patient with traumatic brain injury enlightened me to the fact that I want to care for neurosurgical patients for the rest of my life. Outside of neurosurgery, my interests include poetry, literature, cinema, philosophy, hiking, traveling, and weight-lifting.
