Department of Neurological Surgery, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NY-Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY 10032, USA
Nadine Khoury is a medical student at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, applying into the 2026 Neurosurgery match. Nadine was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended Harvard College, where she studied Biomedical Engineering. She completed her undergraduate thesis on the use of CRISPR-Cas9 to deplete abundant multimers during single cell RNA sequencing at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. At Columbia, she is currently a Dean's Research Fellow dedicating a research year to studying the Glioblastoma tumor microenvironment at the Bartoli Brain Tumor Lab, led by Dr. Jeffrey Bruce and Dr. Peter Canoll. Her current projects include studying the genetic features of 5-Aminolevulinic Acid positivity in the non-enhancing infiltrative tumor margin, exploring the role of Cyclo-oxygenase and Prostaglandin signaling in post-treatment inflammation, and contributing to the organization and execution of Columbia's upcoming Phase Ib clinical trial on Convection-Enhanced-Delivery in IDH mutated recurrent glioma.
Outside of research, she has served as Harvard's Student Body Treasurer, co-led Columbia's Association of Women Surgeons chapter, and performs with Columbia's Musicians' Guild as a pianist and composer. She looks forward to meeting new colleagues and immersing herself in novel innovations of the field at AANS.
