Medical Student
The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, US
Abigail Abraham Teshome is a second year medical student at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her research focuses on the intersection of biomedical engineering and neurosurgery, with specific regard for how biomaterials can best optimize patient outcomes. Her 2025 AANS abstract analyzes differences in complication rates among patients receiving revision cranioplasty based on the implant material. Other research Abigail conducts investigates the efficacy and safety of biomedical technology in neurosurgical procedures, for example, biologic morphogenic proteins in atlantoaxial fusion and stimulation technology for spinal cord injury.
