Kiran K. Sankarappan, BS is a fourth-year medical student at Texas A&M College of Medicine and Secretary of the Texas A&M Chapter of AANS. He is currently a Burroughs Wellcome Fund Research Fellow in Dr. Amir Faraji's Neurosurgery lab at Houston Methodist. Research interests include neurosurgical oncology, functional neurosurgery, and peripheral nerve therapies, with ongoing projects in spinal tumors, glioma biomarkers, and stroke recovery using implantable electrodes.
