Paul Marcet is currently a PGY-6 neurosurgery resident at Wake Forest University. His research interests include regenerative medicine, and the development and application of hydrogels and stem cells in central nervous system regeneration, and cervical spine biomechanics. He is completed a year of reasearch working in the lab of Anthony Atala MD, PhD and Eric Marrotte, DO, PhD at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine studying spinal cord injury and regeneration in animal models. Additionally, he helped develop a model utilizing organoids to study central nervous system injury and regeneration. He is currently working with the biomedical engineering department to develop a novel method of studying spine biomechanics.
