Jinpyo Hong is a medical student at the Penn State College of Medicine. He is interested in neurosurgery as a medical specialty. He has past research experience in fields such as molecular dynamic simulation (surface physics), clinical genetics, and neuroscience. As a medical student, he is currently working on multiple research projects in neurosurgery ranging from neurosurgical oncology to pediatric neurosurgery. He is also passionate about pursuing global health. He has prior experience in global health including volunteering with Operation Smile, serving as an interpreter in global health missions, and working with GlobeMed’s Partner-in-Health. He likes to travel and learn new languages in his free time.
