Dr. Stanley Kim graduated from the University of Michigan. He attended Wayne State University Medical School and completed his Neurosurgery residency at The Ohio State University. He then completed a Neuroendovascular Surgery fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo with Dr. Nick Hopkins. He also served as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at SUNY Buffalo Medical School.

Dr. Kim moved to Austin, TX in 2003 and was the first neurosurgeon to perform neuroendovascular procedures in Austin. Dr. Kim is in solo practice and has affiliations with St. David's Medical Center and Dell Seton Medical Center.

Dr. Kim has served as President of the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons (TANS) from 2018 to 2019.
