Isabella Galenas is a first year medical student at Geisinger Commonweatlh School of Medicine. She graduated from The Catholic University of America with a degree in biology. Before deciding to attend medical school, she worked as a medical technologist in a microbiology lab and a medical assistant in a dermatology office. Currently working with Dr. Rafael Martinez-Perez, their research focuses on different factors that impact the tumor grade of intracranial and spinal meningiomas. While still exploring her medical interests, Isabella is eager to continue this work that will impact future patient neurosurgical care and gain exposure to different fields of medicine.
