Dr. Chuang earned his Medical Degree from China Medical University (CMU) and later obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. from CMU’s Graduate Institute of Clinical Medical Science. He began his career in neurosurgery at China Medical University Hospital, where he progressed through various roles, including resident neurosurgeon, chief resident, and attending neurosurgeon.
Dr. Chuang’s research focuses on advancing neuro-oncology, neural regeneration medicine, and biomedical engineering treatments.
The main topics of published medical journals of Dr. Chuang are brain tumor surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, spinal surgery, and functional neurosurgery. Besides these, cancer immunotherapy and stem-cell therapy for neurological conditions are also the main focus of Dr. Chuang.
Beyond his clinical and research commitments, Dr. Chuang is dedicated to medical education. He currently holds faculty positions at China Medical University in Taiwan, serving as the Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery and Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. His dedication to medical education has been recognized with the Clinical Medical Education Contribution Award in Taiwan.
