My name is Justin Chen, and I am a second-year medical student at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. I am interested in applying for a neurosurgery residency because I am very fascinated by the brain and how little we know about it. I have some research experience working with Dr. Earnest on circadian rhythm and cognitive deficits, and Dr. Miranda on the role of non-coding RNAs on fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.

I am originally from Taiwan, and I moved back to America for college. I majored in biomedical science in Texas A&M University, and I have been continuing my medical education here. I am excited to meet more people in the field and hopefully find mentors open to guiding me throughout the process!
