Dr. Kautilya Patel is a dedicated neurosurgeon currently working as a research fellow in vascular and skull base neurosurgery at University of Nebraska Medical Center. After earning his medical degree from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, India, Dr. Patel completed rigorous neurosurgical training for 6 years at NIMHANS, Bangalore, India at a young age of 29 years. Driven by a desire to pursue advanced training, he obtained ECFMG certification and successfully passed all three steps of the USMLE, qualifying for research and clinical opportunities in the United States.
Dr. Patel has a proven track record of academic excellence with several meritorious achievements and awards in the Indian academia. He is interested in clinical research and research focused on novel surgical techniques, advanced imaging technologies, and minimally invasive approaches for cerebrovascular and skull base pathologies.
He aspires to pursue further clinical training in vascular and skull base neurosurgery. Dr. Patel is dedicated to advancing surgical techniques, mentoring future neurosurgeons, and fostering collaborative research to address complex challenges in neurological care.
Outside his professional pursuits, Dr. Patel enjoys swimming, badminton and hiking and finding inspiration and balance through music and meditation. Dr. Patel remains committed to making meaningful contributions to neurosurgery and enhancing the lives of patients worldwide.
