Pavell Dhondt is a sixth-year medical student at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium, with a strong interest in neurosurgery. He is currently completing his clinical clerkship in neurosurgery, gaining hands-on experience in the field.
His master’s thesis is a prospective pilot study that focuses on gait analysis and surgical decision-making in degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) using the Enhanced Gait Variability Index (eGVI). Pavell has co-authored multiple systematic reviews and meta-analyses on neurosurgical topics, including space-occupying cerebellar infarctions and radiation-induced meningiomas, both of which are currently under review.
