Anthony Yung, MD Candidate, is a fourth-year medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, aspiring to become an orthopedic surgeon. Under the mentorship of Dr. Randal Betz, Christopher Shaffrey, and Dr. Peter Passias, he focuses on both pediatric and adult spinal deformity, with research interests spanning early-onset scoliosis, adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, and adult cervical and spinal deformity surgery. His work emphasizes spinal alignment, biomechanics, and the development of innovative surgical techniques, biologics, and devices—including motion-preservation strategies, minimally invasive approaches, and endoscopic decompression—all aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and advancing value-based healthcare.
