Beck Shafie is a second year medical student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) with a background in neuroscience and biomedical research. His primary research interests focus on functional neurosurgery, including high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), deep brain stimulation (DBS), and stereoelectroencephalography (sEEG) for epilepsy, movement disorders and emotional memory.
