Janos A Barbero is an MD/PhD candidate at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, studying brain network biomarkers in Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease under David Eidelberg (MD) and An Vo (PhD). His previous research includes computational protein design as the co-creator of Foldit under Nobel laureate David Baker (PhD), bioinformatics under Peter Tarczy-Hornoch (MD/PhD), and craniofacial genetics under Michael Cunningham (MD/PhD) at the University of Washington in Seattle, in addition to tract-tracing under Miklos Palkovits (MD) at Semmelweis University in Budapest. He previously worked as a software engineer on Google's global database, performance optimization at Meta, and smart grid analytics at Itron. Janos is Hungarian-Argentine.
