My name is Genaro E. Herrera Cano, BS, and I’m a fourth-year medical student at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Puerto Rico, I attended Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola in San Juan for high school. I then graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Afterward, I moved to Connecticut to continue my medical education.
