Dr. Lukas Andereggen, MD, Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery at Kantonsspital Aarau and Associate Professor at the University of Bern, studied medicine at the University of Bern. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Inselspital Bern, Switzerland, followed by a clinical observership at Stanford University. He then spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School in Boston, supported by two scholarships from the Swiss National Science Foundation. Upon returning to Switzerland, he served as a senior physician at Inselspital Bern and obtained his habilitation (Assistant Professor) at the University of Bern in 2017. Since 2022, he has been a Senior Consultant at Kantonsspital Aarau and, since 2023, an Associate Professor at the University of Bern. His expertise lies in neurovascular diseases, tumor surgery, and pituitary surgery.
