Giovanni Kozel is a second-year medical student at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He has conducted research with the Norman Prince Brain and Spine Institute and the Department of Neurosrugery at Rhode Island Hospital, the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, and for the Neurosurgical Atlas. His research is focused on the applications of machine learning and artifiical intelligence, in particular novel chatbots such as ChatGPT, to neurosurgery and neurooncology, as well as the investigation of patient quality of life in neurosurgical treatment. Giovanni is currently continuing his research in these areas with an analysis of high frequency ultrasound treatments for essential tremor.
