Jack Xiao is a medical student at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience with a minor in philosophy. There he worked in Dr. Glenn Lin’s drug development lab for neurodegenerative disorders. He is interested in the field of neurosurgery along with technology and innovations. His current research interests include skull base pathology, spinal deformities, and medical education/innovations. He is a member of the Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship pathway and has worked with local companies to develop new technologies to better neurological care. He is also currently pursuing a masters in bioethics to better understand and deliver compassionate and ethical care for the complex nature of neurological disease. When he has time, he enjoys playing pick-up basketball, flag football, and soccer. Additionally, he is a fan of the theater and holds season tickets to the KeyBank Broadway Series at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. He has recently matched in the 2024-2025 cycle and is looking forward to starting neurosurgical residency at University Hospitals / Case Western Reserve University this upcoming July.
