Dr. Prabhat Poudel is a dedicated physician currently working as a Neurosurgery Pre-Residency Fellow at Boston Medical Center and is preparing to apply for a neurological surgery residency in the upcoming match. With a background in both clinical medicine and academic research, he has cultivated extensive experience in patient care, surgical procedures, and medical education.
Dr. Poudel earned his MBBS with honors from Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital, where he was awarded multiple prestigious gold medals for excellence in medicine, surgery, and basic sciences.
Dr. Poudel is also an active researcher and author. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and case reports on topics ranging from neurosurgery and neuroimaging to systemic diseases. His research contributions include studies on deep brain stimulation, neurovascular disorders, and spinal pathologies. Additionally, he has authored several book chapters and served as an author and editor for medical education resources, including First Aid for the USMLE, helping medical students worldwide in their exam preparation.
In his free time, he enjoys soccer, music, cooking, running, and hiking. Fluent in English, Nepali, and Hindi, he brings a multicultural perspective to his work and is dedicated to advancing neurosurgical care through innovation, research, and international collaboration.
