Dr. Skulsampaopol is a neurosurgeon from Bangkok. After completing her neurosurgery residency training in 2019, she became a lecturer in the Surgery Department at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Given her deep interest in enhancing education for surgical training and surgical leadership, she pursued further training in Neurosurgical Education Fellowship at St. Michael's Hospital under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael D. Cusimano, who is a Professor in Education, Public Health, and Neurosurgery, from 2020 to 2022. Simultaneously, she also participated in the Education Scholar Program at the Centre for Faculty Development and the Postgraduate Leadership Certificate Program at the University of Toronto to develop expertise in these fields. Currently, she is pursuing an Endoscopic and Skull Base Fellowship at St. Michael's Hospital with Dr. Cusimano.
She was awarded the Byron Cone Pevehouse Young Neurosurgeon Award in 2023.
Her career goals are to become a skilled endoscopic and skull base neurosurgeon to provide care for patients with complex skull base diseases and to be a surgical educator to help improve surgical training holistically, including skill training, mentoring, wellness, and providing more opportunities for women to advance in neurosurgery.
