Dr Rohaid Ali serves as Chief Resident in the Department of Neurosurgery at Brown University Health, where he has emerged as a global leader in integrating artificial intelligence into clinical care. A graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine, his research, published in leading journals including The New England Journal of Medicine’s NEJM AI, JAMA Surgery, and Nature Digital Medicine, has helped improve informed consent processes and healthcare accessibility for over 30,000 patients annually. As one of OpenAI’s Trusted Partners and a recipient of their Exceptional Health Research Grant, Dr Ali’s work on AI-assisted voice reconstruction for patients with neurological conditions has been covered by The Associated Press, NBC Nightly News, and The New York Times, among others. His contributions have been recognized at the White House and United Nations, and he has delivered invited lectures at Harvard Medical School, the Mayo Clinic, and the NIH. Upon completing residency in 2025, he will become the inaugural spine surgery fellow in the Department of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School, training at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
