Joshua Chalif MD, PhD is a neurosurgery resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His primary focus is on spinal neurosurgery, with an emphasis on spinal cord injury, trauma, and innovative surgical techniques. Dr. Chalif is actively involved in clinical and translational research, including outcome studies in TLIFs, ACDFs, minimally invasive spine surgery, and spinal deformity correction, amongst others. His basic science research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of spinal cord injury and related pathologies, including inflammation, axonal regeneration, and neural repair, with the goal of uncovering novel therapeutic approaches for restoring function after injury.
