Mariam Ishaque, MD, PhD is a PGY-7 neurosurgery resident at the University of Virginia. She graduated from the MD/PhD program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2018. The focus of her doctoral dissertation was using advanced structural and functional MRI methods to map brain networks, under the mentorship of Dr. Peter T. Fox. She will be completing a fellowship in surgical neuro-oncology at Swedish Neuroscience Institute following graduation.
