Sage P. Rahm, M.D., is a neurosurgery resident physician at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He was born in Upper Peninsula Michigan and moved to Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Texas before settling down in Rome, Italy for middle school and high school. Fascinated by the brain and how people think, he completed a BA in Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. After college, Dr. Rahm worked as a research assistant at The Rockefeller University exploring the neuroscience of drug abuse, taught English at a community center in Salvador, Brazil, and volunteered at a homeless shelter in Port Antonio, Jamaica before attending medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is interested in pediatric neurosurgery and is currently finishing his 5th year of residency where he spent several months at the Gemelli University Hospital in Rome, Italy. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Birmingham on his bike, playing tennis, traveling, and eating spicy food.
