About me: I grew up in San Diego, California, and attended the University of California - Irvine where I played NCAA Division 1 water polo and majored in biology and chemistry. After a two-year hiatus working as a lab tech at UCSF, I completed my M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. I am currently a PGY-7 enfolded skull base oncology fellow in the neurosurgery department at the Mayo Clinic. I have completed enfolded endovascular training as a PGY-5 and will head to Los Angeles this summer for a post-graduate open cerebrovascular fellowship with Dr. Jonathan Russin at USC. I am actively looking for an academic neurosurgery position that includes open cerebrovascular/endovascular neurosurgery and some skull base neurosurgery. My interests outside of neurosurgery include spending time with my wife, Missy, and our children, Nora and Caleb, as well as exercising and cooking.
