I am a physician-scientist, whose clinical and scientific expertise revolves around the surgical/medical treatment of human brain tumors and understanding their biology and applying novel therapeutics to their treatment. My research laboratory focuses mainly on the development and clinical application of oncolytic viruses for the treatment of brain tumors. I have been site PI, national PI and sponsor/PI of multiple gene- based and oncolytic virus clinical trials for Glioblastoma. My laboratory also researches the immunologic and molecular consequences of such approaches in mouse models and human GBM in vitro and in vivo models.
