He is an active surgeon practitioner and a prodcutive clinical and labratory, grant supported research scientist. He has multiple publications and citations (H-index = 70). He has been a leader in evidence-based medicine Guidelines in Neurosurgery. He has been committed to the advancement of Neurosurgical education and Resident training. He has served his specialty with leadership roles in the AANS/CNS Spine Section, the CNS, the SNS, the Academy and as a Director of the ABNS.
