Randy S. D’Amico, MD, MS, FAANS is the Director of the Brain and Spine Metastasis Program and an attending neurosurgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital, part of Northwell Health in New York City. He is also an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and a recognized contributor to neurosurgical oncology research, advanced imaging, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He specializes in surgical neuro-oncology, with a focus on brain and spinal tumors. Dr. D’Amico’s clinical and academic interests center on the intersection of connectomics, neuro-oncology, and innovative surgical technologies. He is dedicated to advancing the understanding of brain and spine tumors through research that explores their impact on functional connectivity and neurocognition. His work integrates cutting-edge imaging, augmented reality, and precision therapeutics to improve patient outcomes and guide the future of neurosurgical care. Through clinical and translational research, he has also explored intraoperative surgical adjuncts, innovated intraoperative neuro-monitoring, examined clinical outcomes of rare diseases, and participated in clinical trials focusing on novel drug delivery mechanisms.
