Dr. Amirhossein Akhavan-Sigari is a Visiting Instructor at the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, where his clinical work focuses on evaluating the outcomes of radiosurgery for patients with tumors and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).
Dr. Akhavan-Sigari graduated with a Medical Doctor degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) in 2021, where he was actively involved in various research projects related to multiple sclerosis and autoimmune diseases of the CNS. In February 2024, he joined Stanford’s Department of Neurosurgery, where his research centers on stereotactic radiosurgery and the use of Cyberknife technology for treating AVMs, brain tumors, and functional neurological disorders.
