Duke University
Daniel P. Sexton, MD, Duke University Department of Neurosurgery. I was raised in Reno, NV and went to the California Institute of Technology for my undergraduate studies. I then went to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and spent a research year at the Salk Institute in San Diego studying intracranial EEG using nonlinear dynamics. I matched at Duke for residency and have continued researching epilepsy and intracranial EEG using traditional and machine learning approaches. I was the CNS Data Science Scholar for the year 2021-2022. I hope to continue to use the expertise I gained from this scholarship in my career as pediatric neurosurgeon-scientist.
