Dr. Daniel Schneider, MD, is the Chief Neurosurgical Resident and Enfolded Complex Spine and Spinal Oncology Fellow at Northwell Health, training under Dr. Daniel Sciubba MD and Dr. Larry Lo MD. He has extensive experience in complex spine surgery, including adult and pediatric deformity correction, en bloc tumor resection, spondylectomy for primary spine tumors, and sacrectomy.
A published researcher and author, Dr. Schneider's work spans genomics in spinal oncology, AI applications in neurosurgery, and healthcare disparities in spine care. He serves as a peer reviewer for The Spine Journal and collaborates with Elsevier on AI integration in academic publishing.
Deeply committed to medical education, Dr. Schneider serves as Teaching Associate at Zucker School of Medicine and has contributed as teaching faculty at national spine courses, including the NREF Deformity Course and Ohio State Spine Oncology Senior Resident Course. He leads Northwell's resident spine didactics program and is actively involved in the institution's Leadership Development and Mentoring programs.
A second-generation neurosurgeon, Dr. Schneider balances his academic and clinical pursuits with family life, spending time with his wife and young son.
