Adam M. Robin is a neurological surgeon at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. As a child, he helped care for his mother as she endured multiple operations for brain tumors. This experience instilled a deeply rooted belief in the power of medicine, surgery and research to provide hope and healing to patients and led to undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in biology followed by study in neuroscience and medical research in graduate school at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit before also earning a medical doctorate there. He completed neurosurgical training at Henry Ford Hospital and then a neurosurgical oncology fellowship specializing in tumors of the brain and spine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Following this experience, he took part in a several week visiting fellowship at the Hôpital Gui de Chauliac in Montpellier, France which focused on functional brain mapping during awake brain tumor surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Society for Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Robin is the Surgical Director of the Central Nervous System Metastasis Program and Associate Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at Henry Ford Health and his clinical interests include tumors of the brain, skull base, pituitary region and spine, with an emphasis on patient-centered care. He is a grateful husband to his wife and proud father to two little girls and lives in Metro Detroit.
