Medical Student
Keck School of Medicine of USC
Ryan Chung received his B.A. in Neurobiology from UC Berkeley and is currently a medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Prior to starting medical school, Ryan performed research at the Feinberg neurophysiology lab at UCSF, where he studied how the brain coordinates movement using mouse models. As a medical student, Ryan has been committed to promoting research opportunities for his peers and worked with the Dean of Research to teach a research essentials course to first year medical students. Ryan is currently completing his funded Dean's Research Scholar year under the mentorship of Dr. Brian Lee and Dr. Gabriel Zada. In Dr. Lee's lab, Ryan is exploring the variability in evoked potentials to single pulse electrical stimulation and its implications for mapping brain networks and epilepsy. In Dr. Zada's lab, Ryan investigates outcomes in the management of pituitary adenomas with a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques.
