Trained at University of Maryland in Neurosurgery. Has completed fellowships at NIH-NINDS and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Szerlip runs the spine oncology multi discilplinary program at University of Michigan. Studies bone micro-environment and its effect on cancer spread and propagation.
