Cerebrovascular Fellow
Semmes-Murphey Clinic
Nicolas Khatta, MD is currently a cerebrovascular fellow at the Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis, TN. He graduated frommthe American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine, pursued a research fellowship in the Neuroapoptosis and Translational Therapeutics lab at the University of Pittsburgh for 3 years. He then matched into neurosurgery residency at the University of Louisville. He completed an enfolded complex spine fellowship and is currently in his cerebrovascular fellowship. His clinicsl interests include aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, middle meningeal artery embolization, and vascular trauma. His research interests include disease modification of subarachnoid hemorrhage. He has always been very invested in resident education, and was awarded the resident teacher award at the University of Louisville for 4 years during his training.
