Director of Neurotrauma

Dr. Martina Stippler is Vice Chief of the Division of Neurosurgery and Director of Neurotrauma at Beth Israel Deacons Medica Center, and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. She is the BIDMC/ BMC Neurosurgery Associate Residency program director. She completed her neurosurgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She has a busy complex spine and anterior skull base practice. Her research interests are in multi-modality TBI management, triage of mild TBI, and goal of care discussing the urgent setting. She completed the Rabkin medical education fellowship and holds local and national roles to enhance continuing medical education by empowering faculty to employ active teaching techniques. She is the Chair of the AANS/ CNS section of Neurotrauma and Critical Care, a past chair of Women in Neurosurgery, President-elect of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
