Laser ablation (LITT), focused ultrasound (FUS) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) are rapidly advancing treatments for tumors and epilepsy. This PC will engage neurosurgical experts in these technologies to discuss their application to specific pathologies in the management of brain tumors and epilepsy, as well as use case-based presentations and hands on workstations to educate attendees.

Learning Objectives:

Identify the applications of laser ablation and focused ultrasound in the management of primary and secondary brain tumors and epilepsy.
Describe the currently available laser technologies, including advantages and limitations.
Explain how focused ultrasound can potentially be used to treat brain tumors and epilepsy.
Discuss emerging applications for these technologies.
